Hello! My name is Tara. I’m married to a wonderful husband, Nick. We love to come up with projects to improve our home together, and always keep a budget in mind. We try to re-use and refurbish whenever possible. We also are working on being more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Our projects and goals of becoming greener inspired the blog, “Millennial Garden on a Budget”. By growing our own food, and doing as much of the prep work ourselves as we can, we become more independent and know what we are nourishing ourselves with. It also is an opportunity to provide a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that super markets wouldn’t otherwise provide. Which is a pretty great opportunity for seed saving and sustaining a variety of produce! By growing heirlooms, we’ll be able to seed save and help prevent our variety choices from diminishing. As you can see, we are very passionate about all of this. Other passions include reading (preferably hardbacks!), cooking, and meal planning for freezer meals. And of course, our two dogs are our love! After a hard day’s work, it’s a comfort to snuggle up on the couch with our favorite pooches by our sides! Hope you enjoy reading the blog posts. They are truly a joy to put together and share, so that hopefully others may benefit.
